Microsoft Start App Reviews

Whenever I leave the app and come back, it restarts at the main home screen. Doesnt save what I was reading. Please fix??

I like this news site but dont understand why they dont fix the ridiculous annoying closing of the app when closing one of the articles. OK its a free app. But its not the only free site. So please fix it. By the way, I commend the editor/editors. The content is first rate.

The content is good and the app has an easy to navigate layout, but its incredibly frustrating that this app refreshes after I flip to another app for even just a few seconds. It sure would be nice if it would hold my reading spot for at least 5 or 10 minutes!

I like the app but is has a big flaw. If you have an article open and then move away from this app to another app and then come back to it it will take you to the start screen. A lot of time I am reading something and then move to check email or some thing and when I get back the article is gone. I have to start all over again.

This is super frustrating since I may want to read links that are within interesting articles. Tell your PMs to do some user research.

Ever since Apple released its news app Msn has been crashing daily. Venture to another app or home screen and alls lost if you were reading an article. I think Apple is to blame.

When will this be fixed?

The content of the app is good. However, the usability always seems suffer. First, you couldnt scroll without accidentally clicking a link, now you cant navigate away from a story without the app going straight back to the start page. Microsoft can rock other apps (see iOS Outlook!), but they seem to continually miss it here.

This app shuts down unexpectedly often--very frustrating. Also, when you leave the app and reopen it it doesnt go back to where you left off, it opens up as if the app was shut down!

Error 101. Especially if the article has video

This app works well. There was a problem with it crashing, but it seems to have been fixed with the latest OS update.

Vast of news sources and topics. Friendly and elegant interface, optimized performance.

Horrible, horrible app. The article you have open closes if you go to another app or your device locks. I have to look for the article, re-open, and then find my spot in the article to resume. Pitiful. Its been like this for a long, long time and nothing has improved!! I’ve moved on to CNN. They have their act together…
