Microsoft Start App Reviews

I have always been a fan of MSN, they have always been my first chose for news & entertainment. This only happens on my iPhone, I am in the app and when Im done reading an article I hit the back arrow button and the whole app closes on my, I keep my phone and apps updated so Im not what the problem is but its really disappointing and frustrating.

MSN needs to try again. This app shuts off after you read an article. Awful app. App closes when you want to go back to headlines. I tried to reinstall on iPad.

I love the layout of the news stories but something changed and it crashes to the iPads home most of the time when changing to a different article.

I like msn.com. I downloaded app thinking its great to have it on my iPhone. But the app has serious issues. Every time I hit the back arrow it takes me to the phones home page. It is so irritating to go back to the app and try to find at what section I was reading. So I deleted. I gave one star, but seriously, if I could, I would give none.

This app was absolutely fabulous up until a few months ago. Unfortunately the incessant crashing and refreshing is driving me insane. I am now looking for my new go-to news source

Ive been a fan and user of msn news phone app for many years. Recently it now kicks you out of the app after reading an article, it sends you back to your phones home page. Why??? This makes it so user unfriendly and inconvenient, please correct it!!!

This was my go to news app but now I get the error 1303 every time I try to access!

Solid. MSN News does the best job aggregating news. Best results after signing in to Microsoft account and entering interests.

News content aside, this app fails simply because it crashes all the time. Too bad. It was my favorite news app because of how easy it was too find the things you cared about. I still havent found a decent replacement.

When closing a story it shuts down!

This is only my go to news app because I dont know of anything else. Basically anything you do causes this app to crash, such as clicking on links inside news stories. Even clicking on headlines often causes crashing. Though the layout is nice, the UI design is terrible. Many textures are VERY low resolution, and everything else looks like it came from an alpha version. Overall awful app, would not recommend.

The Bing News app on Windows Phone devices was perfect. It was clean, easy, and put reading first, and all the bells and whistles of sharing and social network stuff second. Now its rebranded or revive-branded to MSN, and available on iOS. UPDATEx2: Microsoft pushed out an update. This was first a 5 star review, then 1 star after a update caused it to crash after viewing a news article. Now its 4 stars after they fixed it. 4 stars because it took them months to fix it.

The app is not working. Error code 1003.

Each time Im reading a news story, after a few seconds when my phone locks, and soon after I unlock it..... The App closes and then have to re open it snd find whatever I was raleading. I should be able to unlock phone and get back to what I was reading. Please fix.

But its starting to feel like its being managed by people who dont use it. If you respond to a text or follow a link that leads you out of the app, it will put you back at the home page. Youll have to find the article again. A lot of little usability issues plague this app.

The crashes are gone. The weird thing where it defaults to the home screen after resuming the app is annoying but whatever. Best content of all the news apps out there in my opinion so worth at least trying
